Galtech Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd - GE is a company contributing engineering services to the marine industry. The company is led by key persons who are vastly experienced in marine and naval businesses.

The establishment of GE is to up-take mainly Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) tasking within its Group companies also supporting external or any allied partners. GE also has capability on engineering designs and development dedicated on marine and naval.

Currently GE stationed in Seri Manjung, Perak which is surrounded by the marine and naval industries/ establishment.

As part of its business expansion, Galtech Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd - GE has spread its wings to move forward by opening its managing office in Kuching, Sarawak.

RIVER SCOOPER 902 HDPE The DRS 902-HDPE is a compact, container-sized hybrid craft, designed for zero-emission, fully electric operation in the future. The vessel is efficiently operated by just one person, but can accommodate two crew members comfortably. As an additional boost to sustainability, the River Scooper’s floaters are also made from fully recyclable HDPE.

A RELIABLE AND VERSATILE PLATFORM

The Stan Patrol is a dedicated Patrol design. The hull lines are optimised for very high performance, resulting in the vessel distinguishing itself with good sea-keeping performance. High-performance propeller tunnels are fitted to increase the propulsion efficiency and reduce vibration and noise levels. The spacious wheelhouse and accommodation areas are placed in the best position in the Vessel, where low Accelerations prevail in different sea states. With an excellent All-around view, the helmsman can safely handle the vessel in all conditions. The large aft deck is fitted with a slipway for launching and recovering daughter craft.

FERRY 3508

Damen Shipyards has been contracted by Penang Port Sdn Bhd., Malaysia, to build up to five ferries to replace the current fleet that has reached its end of life. The new vessels have been specially designed to meet the requirements of the client and its passengers. They will operate on the ferry route that links the Malaysian Peninsula (Butterworth) with Penang Island and its city of George Town, Malaysia’s third largest, just a ten-minute journey away. Designated the Damen Ferry 3508, the new class is designed to carry a maximum of 250 passengers both sitting and standing and 50 vehicles (scooters and motor bikes) in a mix of air-conditioned and open but sheltered areas. We are pleased to introduce Galtech Engineering’s capability in providing comprehensive engineering support and maintenance systems tailored for maritime operations, specifically for ferry systems such as Penang Ferry.

Older measurement techniques required multiple measurements and a lot of time. 3D scanning of tanks makes this process faster and more accurate millions of measurement points in a single scanning session.

FOR COMPREHENSIVE & DETAILED 3D SHIP / VESSEL MODELLING DATA The Trimble® X7 is an easy-to-use, high-speed 3D laser scanning system with new innovations to simplify adoption and increase efficiency. Features like automatic calibration and in-field registration will ensure data quality and provide confidence in the field. Post-processed the data using Realworks Software, a software solution specifically designed for point cloud processing and analysis. Loading these registered scans into The software uses of automated cleaning tools to eliminate any extraneous noise and then renders the 3D dataset into a complete colourised model of the ship’s engine room and control room.

Tranquil Marine Industry was equipped with these advances in software technology, 3D laser scanners back in December 2021. With a small dedicated team, we’ve gone through several software and hardware training sessions, before we proceed with several attempts to the Petronas Technical group throughout the year 2022. 

After a series of discussions and presentations with Petronas Carigali (Malaysian O&G Owner and operator) for the technology acceptance and approval, from mid-2022, we’ve already started to Execute the Advanced 3d Laser Scanning for Tank Survey at a number of locations;

Refrigerant Leak Monitor provides the earliest level of detection of costly refrigerant gas leaks in mechanical equipment rooms. Basler Electric specialises in the production of custom-designed transformers for a wide range of applications, including power generation, distribution, and control.


GASENSOR TECHNOLOGY: GASENSOR is dedicated to safety monitoring gas and flame in a hazardous area and environment. The products range covered from Flame Detector with Infra-Red technology, Combustible Gas Detector with both Infra-Red and Combustion sensor approaches, and Toxic Gas Detector utilising the Electrochemical cell technology in line with current harsh and hazardous environment requirements.
